Philosophy MA Conference

Wednesday 25 May 2022, 9.00AM to 27 May 5.00pm

The Philosophy MA students are putting on a 3 day conference from Wednesday 25 May to Friday 27 May, 9 am - 5 pm, as part of their degree programme. Philosophy students and staff are welcome to attend all or part of the conference. Topics to be discussed include:

  • Can Machines be Creative?
  • Solidarity in the Original Position
  • On the Queerness of Numbers
  • Presentism with Modal Realism
  • How can we explain auditory awareness of space in hearing?
  • Contractualism and Moral Luck
  • Aristotle's concept of sleep in the Parva Naturalia
