This recognises the Department's commitment to gender equality and broader inclusive environment. The Department of Philosophy works hard to ensure our processes are fair, flexible, accessible and transparent to provide an inclusive and positive workplace culture for all staff and students.
The Athena Swan charter is a framework used to support and transform gender equality within higher education and research. A bronze level award recognises our commitment to good practice in recruiting, retaining and supporting the careers of women and advancing gender equality.
