Research catalyst and funding

We help you bridge the gap between initial ideas and new international research projects.

Identify synergies and potential collaborators: we actively map research strengths and key people across York and Maastricht to spark new collaborative projects
Find a new partner for a project: we can introduce you to colleagues working in your area at York and Maastricht
Secure investment: we identify and share research opportunities and funding in the UK, EU, and internationally
Expert guidance: we provide bespoke advice on applications for YMP and external research funding

Educational innovation, training and mobility

We help create a borderless environment for the next generation of graduates and researchers.

Collaborative programmes: we facilitate the development of collaborative programmes, from informal co-taught modules and workshops to co-supervision and double PhDs
Physical and virtual mobility: We encourage and support staff and students to gain international experience through in-person exchanges, summer schools, and digital collaboration
Sharing good practice: We organise workshops and support collaborations that allow academic and professional staff to exchange world-class methods in teaching, research, and higher education administration and management

Knowledge exchange and engagement

We help you take your research beyond campus, to drive change in the real world.

Seminars and events: We host YMP seminars, lectures, summer schools, conferences, and networking events designed to bring colleagues and partners together
External partnerships: We build links with regional organisations, sector bodies, and government to facilitate knowledge exchange and innovation
