Pre-Raphaelite sisters: making art

Talking place at the University of York from Thursday 12 to Friday 13 December 2019 is the major conference 'Pre-Raphaelite sisters: making art', held in conjunction with the National Portrait Gallery’s exhibition Pre-Raphaelite Sisters (17 October 2019 - 26 January 2020)

The conference organisers are Glenda Youde (University of York) and Robert Wilkes (Oxford Brookes University).  Keynote speakers are Dr Jan Marsh (National Portrait Gallery, London) and Kirsty Stonell Walker Author, (Pre-Raphaelite Girl Gang).  Elizabeth Prettejohn (University of York) will give the Opening Remarks.  One of the speakers is Brian Eaton, great grandson of Pre-Raphaelite model Fanny Eaton.

The conference is supported by the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art.
