Dr Lauren Working records 'Ruffs in Jamestown' and 'Boy with a Pearl Earring' for BBC Radio 3

As a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Thinker, Dr Lauren Working recently recorded two programmes for Radio 3. In Boy with a Pearl Earring, she explores masculinity and the cavalier aesthetic in everything from seventeenth-century literature to the V&A's new Fashioning Masculinities exhibition.

In Ruffs in Jamestown, she traces an iconic piece of Elizabethan fashion from London portraits to colonial Virginia, and to contemporary Indigenous novels and artworks.

Both programmes can be streamed and downloaded from BBC Sounds or Spotify.
