York Alumnus Wins Commendation in Prestigious Translation Prize

Congratulations to Anna Thyregod Wilcks, who has received a commendation in the prestigious Stephen Spender Prize 2022.
The Stephen Spender Prize aims to open people’s eyes and minds to unfamiliar cultures and languages, and for them to engage with the linguistic traditions that form part of their own lives. Anna's translation work was in part inspired by our Advanced Option Module, 'Found in Translation', in which students get to grips with the practical work of literary translation.
