Publication news! The Cambridge History of the Gothic

Department of English and Related Literature academics John, Bowen, Jim Watt, and Deborah Russell have contributed chapters to this publication.

John Bowen's chapter is entitled 'Charles Dickens and the Gothic', Deborah Russell's is 'Domestic Gothic Writing after Horace Walpole and before Ann Radcliffe' and Jim Watt's chapter is on 'Early British Gothic and the American Revolution'.

English PhD graduate, Ruth Scobie, has also contributed the chapter 'A World of Bad Spirits': The Terrors of Eighteenth-Century Empire'
