English Students Win Internship Awards

Congratulations to Poppy Aston (English/History of Art) and Lizzy Holling (English), who have been named Intern of the Year and Campus Intern of the Year respectively at an awards ceremony attended by local businesses, university staff and fellow students.

Poppy was recognised for her outstanding achievement during her internship as a ‘Copywriter and Video Content Creator’ at TSYS, where she created a suite of sales videos that are now being used to target new and existing clients across Europe. Lizzy was employed closer to home in the English department's cutting-edge letterpress studio, Thin Ice Press, where she did everything from designing the website and setting up a social media presence, to spearheading shopping trips to buy three historic iron presses.
