Lola Boorman, a PhD student in the Department of English, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship for 2017/18.

The award by Fulbright Ireland will enable Lola to spend 6 months at Stanford University as a visiting scholar. There she will continue research on her doctoral project on the use and representation of grammar in modern and contemporary American literature.

Of the 38 scholarships awarded to Irish scholars and students this year, Lola's was the only award in literary studies.  The Department congratulates Lola on her success, and wishes her luck in the US!
