Amanda Sowden is Deputy Director and leads CRD’s research programme in public health. Her interests are in research synthesis to evaluate complex interventions to improve health and wellbeing and reduce inequalities. She is a collaborator in the DH Policy Research Programme (DH PRP) funded Public Health Research Consortium where she is leading a programme of systematic reivews on multiple risk behaviours (http://phrc.lshtm.ac.uk/index.html).
Amanda is Deputy Director of the DH Reviews Facility which supports national policy development and implementation (http://eppi.ioe.ac.uk/cms/Default.aspx?tabid=73). She is a member of the Public Health Interventions Advisory Committee at NICE and a member of the NIHR Public Health Research Programme Funding Board.
