Where to go for
Laundry
The college's launderette is located in the David Kato College Hub. You’ll need your keycard to access it.
Small post/letters are sent to a bank of post boxes in the David Kato Hub which Royal Mail will deliver to directly.
Large post is held in the Piazza Building mailroom. You'll receive an email when you have a parcel to collect. Please take your university card as proof of your identity.

Communal areas
The Hub is the central social space for David Kato College students. With a range of comfortable furniture, a pool table, table tennis table and games, students can use the communal areas to relax, meet friends and hang out.
Getting around
What's near?
- Food and drink: Your nearest places for a drink or bite to eat are The Glasshouse Bar, Piazza Building and Ron Cooke Hub, all just a few minutes walk away. Shops and bars in Heslington Village are a 10 minute walk away.
- The York Sports Village is just a 12 minute walk away and is home to a swimming pool and gym facilities.
- Kimberlow Retail Park is just a 3 minute walk away and is home to a NISA supermarket, Unity Health GP Surgery and other food outlets.
