Rising one place from last year, the department has made its mark as one of the best places to study Chemistry in the UK, reflecting our reputation for teaching and research excellence and dedication to the student experience.
The league table is derived from official data from the Research Excellence Framework 2014, the Higher Education Statistics Agency and this year’s National Student Survey, and also takes into account factors such as graduate prospects and social inclusion. This ranking rounds off a brilliant year for the department, making the top ten in all three major UK league tables.
Chemistry is one of nine departments at York to achieve top ten status.
