For her final BSSG exam, Abby was examined by the chairman of the British Society of Scientific glassblowers, and the chairman of the society's board of examiners.

The exam consisted of an hour long theory paper, in which Abby scored the highest marks ever recorded at 97.5%, and also a practical examination - with the overall result being a pass with distinction. Abby is now a fully qualified scientific glassblower.
