The final phase of our Dorothy Hodgkin Building has just been completed and our Chemistry staff are now moving in. The £9.4 million building provides high quality, purpose-built, synergistic laboratory space (with over 70 fumehoods) for around 100 of our researchers. It houses research groups associated with medicinal chemistry, materials/liquid crystals, organometallic chemistry and solar energy conversion. The Department of Chemistry will host an official opening ceremony later in the year. The building will be officially opened on Wednesday 31 October 2012.
