The interesting way modules are structured at York allows a better understanding through practical tasks. You may find yourself at the back of a Crown Court to witness a trial, or going into the field to observe people’s behaviour.
I have loved working with prisoners in challenging some of the key social policy questions of our time. It has been such a remarkable experience getting on the ground and working with people directly affected by the policies you learn about!
