Supporting historical research with contemporary relevance to business, society, economy, and public policy.

The Centre for Contemporary Business History and Society was formed in 2015 as the Management and Organization History Research Cluster. It was re-named in 2022 to reflect the creation of the new School for Business and Society and developments in the research interests of its members. In line with the ethics and social mission of the school, the centre supports business history research that focuses on issues of contemporary relevance to business, society, economy, and public policy. The centre has a vibrant regular seminar series, convenes workshops and conferences, and hosts national and international academic visitors. The current co-directors are Dr Simon Mollan and Dr Kevin Tennent.
