Professor John McDermid co-authors new UK-RAS Network white paper on ethical issues for RAS

Given the recent rapid advances of robotics and artificial intelligence, this paper addresses the associated ethical issues.
Professor John McDermid, Director of the Assuring Autonomy International Programme, has co-authored a UK-RAS Network white paper on ethical considerations for robotics and autonomous systems (RAS).
The paper was co-authored with Zoe Porter, a researcher from the Department of Philosophy at York, and three leading researchers from other UK institutions. It looks at the regulation of future robotics and AI systems from an ethical perspective and summarises other work in this area.
