Dr Sabine Clarke (Department of History, York) awarded funds for the project 'The Chemical Empire: A New History of Synthetic Insecticides in Britain and its Empire, c.1920-1970'
The project will begin in October and will research the history of the use of insecticides in Kenya and Tanzania.
