International Recruitment, Partnerships and Mobility (IRPM)
We aim to be the area of professional services that colleagues across the institution turn to when considering all international activity. We have a wide-reaching remit and the team possess deep knowledge of international markets, policies, government strategies and partner institution priorities.
We are responsible for:
- The recruitment of international students to come and study at the University of York
- Working with a wide range of stakeholders on partnership management within research and teaching, including strategic partnerships such as CITY College, University of York Europe Campus
- Delivering online and in-person short courses to international partners
- Coordinating, promoting and managing a wide range of mobility opportunities for our current students and managing in-bound visiting students.
Our teams
The Director of International Recruitment, Partnerships and Mobility is Rohit Ramesh Kumar.
International Recruitment
Responsible for activity relating to the recruitment of international students to on-campus undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Global Opportunities
Responsible for coordinating study abroad opportunities for York students, short courses and summer schools for groups of students or staff from partner universities around the world.
Global Partnerships
Responsible for developing strong teaching and research collaborations with overseas partners.
York-Maastricht Partnership
Responsible for leading the York-Maastricht Partnership and developing new education and research collaborations with Maastricht University.
