Russell Group Teachers' Conference

Thank you for taking part in the The Russell Group Teachers’ Conference on 4 May 2020. We hope you found it useful to learn more about Russell Group Universities and how to support your students' progression to higher education.

During 2022 our Access and Outreach programmes will be delivered virtually with some face-to-face events. We will be guided by government guidelines and University policy. We will work directly with programme participants and our school and college partners to keep you informed of progress.

What is the Russell Group Teachers’ Conference?

The aim of the Russell Group Teachers’ Conference is to enable teachers to support their students to progress to some of the UK’s most competitive institutions. In the online format Russell Group representatives delivered insightful webinars on applications, admissions and the student experience, including:

  • Supporting applicants during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • An overview of contextual offers
  • Student wellbeing support during transition and beyond
  • Supporting students with their UCAS application and interview
  • Understanding admissions at university
  • General alternative routes in Higher Education
  • Student finance and budgeting

Visitors to the event also had the opportunity to talk to representatives from all Russell Group Universities in the exhibition and ask any questions using online chat.
