The York Management School is proud to take an active part in exchange programmes both within the European Union and further afield in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Student exchange programmes are a great way for you to learn about different cultures and experience life in a different country - and all the while continuing your studies!
An Exchange Programme is a chance of a lifetime. It is an investment in your future. Going from the familiar to the unfamiliar will provide you with a unique experience for your personal and academic development. An exchange can enhance your language skills and help you prepare for the challenges of the global employment market.
First year students enrolled on the three-year B.A. (Hons) Management degree programme are invited to apply to spend the second year of your undergraduate degree course abroad. The academic work you complete during your exchange will be credited towards your University of York degree.
The York Management school has Agreements of Academic Exchange with high quality Universities around the world that have excellent ratings for teaching and learning. There are exciting opportunities for you to spend an academic year in Europe, Hong Kong or Taiwan as part of your degree programme.
All students studying on the 3 year B.A. (Hons.) Management degree are eligible to apply and all offers of admission to the exchange programme will be conditional upon students successfully completing their end of year one examinations. Application for one of these exchange programmes is competitive and the main criteria are a reference from your personal supervisor and an essay that explains why you feel you would benefit from study abroad.
If you are interested in applying for a study abroad opportunity our Exchange Programmes Coordinator will guide you through the process:
