The Alcuin Research Resource Centre (ARRC) has been made possible by funding from The Wellcome Trust/ESRC Joint Infrastructure Fund. It embodies the concept of a multidisciplinary collaborative support infrastructure for researchers involved in health and social sciences research within the Alcuin Collaboration. The infrastructure is formed partly from existing support services, such as the Centre for Heath Economics/Centre for Reviews and Dissemination Information Service and partly from new services and facilities. |

DATA COLLECTIONThe service includes two focus group rooms and two interview rooms with CCTV and audio recording equipment, along with two telephone interview rooms. The ARRC also houses a 32-PC data collection suite which is the home for the Centre for Experimental Economics (EXEC) as well as being available to others for data collection via PCs and research training. |

DATA MANAGEMENTThe York Trials Unit (within the Department of Health Sciences) provides this service. An established high quality team offers priced services to the units and departments in ARRC in relation to their research grant funded work. |

DATA ANALYSISThe York Trials Unit (within the Department of Health Sciences) has statisticians who offer a priced statistical service to the units and departments in ARRC in relation to their research grant funded work. For further information about this service please contact Catherine Hewitt This encompasses a remote access data analysis cluster and a computer data collection room. The Department of Economics
and Related Studies (DERS) manage the experimental economics lab. It encompasses making
sophisticated data analysis equipment and software available to researchers and providing a computer data collection room. |

DISSEMINATIONThe existing CHE/CRD service is housed within the ARRC and offers priced services to health and social care research units and departments on the Alcuin site.
