Don't miss the first Elevator Pitch of the summer term!

Posted on 28 April 2014

As part of the regular series of events organised by the Club of PEP, Professor Karen Mumford (Dept of Economics and Related Studies) will speak on the future of the minimum wage in Britain.

She is a member of a panel which carried out an in-depth review of this policy, recommending a fundamental overhaul of the minimum wage. It argued that "the cautious approach of the late 1990s was right for its time, but is now too narrow, short-sighted and passive to dent today’s wider problem of low pay". Read more about Professor Mumford's review.

The talk will take place on Tuesday 29 April at 4pm in D/L/037.
