Short Language Courses in 2025/2026

Our eight-week language courses are available for languages including Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin and Spanish. Course types include introductory-level courses that allow you to familiarise with a new language, practice-focused language courses to improve your everyday communication skills and specialist language courses for specific purposes.

Course fees: 16 hours over 8 weeks

Languages for Everyday Communication courses

Beginner, Post-Beginner and Intermediate level language courses. These courses will provide students an opportunity to familiarise with a new language or improve their Beginner-level skills through language use in everyday situations.

Specialist Language Courses

We offer selected specialist language courses with a focus on developing communication skills for languages for specific purposes.

Languages for Intercultural Understanding

Beginner-level courses to familiarise with languages with non-Roman scripts. These in-person courses are ideal if you are interested in learning a language that is very different from the language(s) you speak.
