Historical origins of health inequality
Abstract
Health inequality is a well-documented feature of all modern societies and has also been described in many historical analyses. However, it is not known if health inequality is an inevitable characteristic of human communities.
In this study, we investigate the evolutionary, psychological and social origins of health inequality.
