Marie, PhD

I chose to come to York as it is one of the top universities in the UK for academic research and quality in English Literature.  The postgraduate community, exemplified by the Humanities Research Centre, particularly appealed to me. The University's strength in the emerging field of Medical Humanities, reinforced by its Centre for Global Health Histories, was a particular draw. This is one of my primary interests and a strong aspect of my PhD.
