Background

The Centre for Digital Innovation in Philanthropy and Fundraising was launched in 2025 with the goal of advancing digital technology in the charity sector.

Whether it’s researchers, charity professionals, or those in commercial businesses, the Centre brings together those who are working with the digital innovation technologies of the future. The Centre’s goal is to make fundraising more effective, transparent and accessible.

We are inter-disciplinary

collage of inter-disciplinary members of the University that are involved with CDIPF

Innovation in philanthropy thrives when minds from across disciplines come together to solve complex challenges.

That's why we have support from across the University:

Philosophy - Tom Stoneham

English - Helen Smith

History of Art - Michael White

Sociology - Jenny Chubb

School for Business and Society - Snehasish Banerjee and Anjan Pal

Centre of Safe Autonomy and AI - Philip Garnett & Anna Cavalcanti

Data Science Hub - Alastair Droop

It's better to go slowly together than enter a dark room alone.
