No Laughing Matter: Clowning with Silent Faces

An introduction to Silent Faces' physical, political, playful style, this workshop will tool you up to make seriously silly theatre. Expect clowning games to keep you present and playing, exercises to help you in developing a connected ensemble and practical tactics for exploring serious subject matter in a playful way.
Led by Silent Faces’ co-artistic-director-clown, Cordelia Stevenson.

Silent Faces’ work strives to push the boundaries of clowning and physical theatre in a contemporary political context. Their recent show, the critically acclaimed Godot is a Woman (★★★★ “Cheeky and geeky” Guardian), tackles gender barriers in the arts and society head-on.
