We are happy to invite you to our performance art gallery "In Praise of Woman, Life, Freedom". This hybrid event is part of York's International Women's Week 2023 and aims to celebrate and amplify Iranian women's voices in their fight for justice and equality.

We start with a talk by Dr. Leili Galehdaran about the origins of cutting and throwing hair in the
literature of Iran, Mesopotamia, and Greece, followed by a performance art gallery including acts of resistance and fighting.

You are warmly welcome to attend our event on 7th March in person at 5:30 p.m. at University of York, Campus East, York, YO10 5GD; Room: LMBO30/31 or
