The next TechYork event is kindly sponsored by Merck and will consist of two sessions: a workshop on pipetting and a Green Chemistry/Green Alternatives talk. 1. The Pipetting workshop will be hosted by Dr John Mitchell and Caroline Harrison from Brand. The 1hr workshop 1330-1430 will introduce all aspects of pipetting: best-practice, ergonomics, calibration, common mistakes etc. You can even bring your own pipette to test for leaks!
2. A 1hr Green Chemistry/Green Alternatives talk 1440-1540 hosted by Aimee Parsons from Merck will highlight the latest developments in Green Chemistry, alternatives and sustainability and feature some of the world-leading and world-changing advances led by academic research in these areas, including research from our very own Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence!
