Dr Laura Clark

School of Physics, Engineering and Technology, Royal Society University Research Fellow

What is the subject of your research?

My research focuses on developing high-resolution, low-damage imaging methods in the scanning transmission electron microscope. I came to York, having previously worked/studied at Oxford, Monash (Australia) and Antwerp.

Why did you apply to York?

I transferred my fellowship to York to take advantage of the recent investment in a globally-unique aberration-corrected microscopy within the York Nanocentre. Regular access to this instrument will enable my group to develop, prototype and implement new imaging approaches in a rapid and robust manner.
