Jammed is an online booking platform powering independent studios, rehearsal rooms and creative spaces.

"Punching above our weight! Jammed has almost 100 studios now in 15 countries across the world, and grew by over 100% in 2023. We're looking to expand our custom features and bespoke booking platform for the largest studios next, positioning ourselves as the best software in class. Also, our founder Andy last year won the Star Enterpriser award from Uni of York, further highlighting was an excellent year we had."

Mortimer Engineering Services are experts in the design, development and prototype development of concepts and ideas.

"At Mortimer Engineering Services we work with entrepreneurs as well established businesses bringing ideas to life with physical prototypes working with you on the whole journey from concept through to delivery or any stage between. We produce digital concepts, engineered designs and renders then create physical prototypes with inhouse machining, fabricating or 3D printing. I do all aspects of the design, development and manufacturing process. I've manufactured parts which are in the Hadron Collider, developed engineering solutions for medical imaging technologies, developed laser integration solutions and worked with students to provide engineered solutions for their studies... to name a few."

Matthew Read Clockmaker-Conservator provides specialised conservation services to the Museums and Heritage domains in the care of horological collections.

"I work nationally conducting survey, maintenance and repair to clock and clock-like objects including automata. I have a workshop just outside York city walls where more interventive treatments are carried out including making new parts for mainly eighteenth and nineteenth century work. My clients include The National Trust, York Minster, The Bar Convent and Historic England. The driving force of my practice is to consider the changing nature of what things are and how my work responds to that."

The Potions Cauldron is the World’s most magical drinks emporium and serves magic daily on Shambles in York. 

"The Potions Cauldron was founded in 2018 as a wizard themed drinks manufacturer, from York’s famous Shambles, serving our magical bottled drinks from our wizard themed apothecary. The shop aimed to add experience and magical mystery to the shopping trip. In 2021 The Hole in Wand Wizard Golf in York opened, rewarding mini-golf players with a potion drink based on their score, along with a second one in Blackpool in 2022.'

Open Velocity is a marketing strategy consultancy made up of ex-CMOs and Marketing Directors with a passion for unpicking complexity and solving for success. They work with Founders, CEOs, Boards and Private Equity/Venture Capital firms to enable them to make better business decisions based on a deeper market understanding translated into effective marketing strategy and action.

Ghost Quest York is an interactive walking puzzle quest that will take you to the heart of York.

"It's like an escape room that incorporates the entire city of York, directing players to York's hidden gems and challenging them to solve puzzles and riddles in an interactive game that unlocks new ghost stories with each correct answer! Working with independent businesses, GQY invites players to get to know the city like a true local, incorporating shops and cafes into the game. Most importantly, GQY can be played at almost any time of day, and the ability to stop for breaks or to explore local treasures makes it the most accessible puzzle game York has to offer."
