College Manager
Your college's operational lead. Oversees welfare issues and can talk through any of your more serious concerns if needed.
Deputy College Manager
Provides wellbeing interventions for our residential students and delivers key student experience projects on behalf of the local College and the Student Life and Wellbeing team.
College Life Coordinator
Provides welfare and wellbeing support under the guidance of the College Manager and Deputy College Manager. Delivers community interventions to make a positive difference to their members’ lives and studies through delivering events and activities.
College Life Advisor
Your College Life Advisors are students who work with the college to promote and support community activity and offer peer support for issues such as making friends, networking, and settling into student life at York. They work closely with the rest of the college team.
Your College Manager: Tom Metcalfe
Hi, I'm Tom, your College Manager. I'm responsible for leading the college team and working with your student leaders to provide a breadth of inclusive events, sporting provision and cultural activities for all members.
Having joined the University in 2019 in a wellbeing focused role, I'm very passionate about ensuring every student has access to opportunities and help, when needed, to thrive. As a team, we will do our utmost to support you so if you're ever struggling, don't hesitate to reach out.

Your Deputy College Manager: Sam Haley
Hi, I’m Sam, your Deputy College Manager. I work closely with the College Manager on the day to day running of Anne Lister College. Having worked in Langwith and Goodricke colleges, I've got plenty of experience working with students to develop new opportunities, fun events and a strong sense of community. If you have any problems or general enquiries you can contact me and I'll be happy to help, or put you in touch with the right person.

Your College Life Coordinator: Edie Murray
Your College Life Coordinator (CLC) provides welfare and wellbeing support as well as working on projects such as welcome and orientation and college sports. If you have any problems regarding you and your housemates, or would like someone to speak to about a welfare issue, your CLC will be able to help.

Anne Lister College Student Association (CSA)
The Anne Lister College Student Association (CSA) supports the College Team to establish an inclusive and welcoming community for all students that call Anne Lister home.
From running a variety of fun events and planning your Freshers Week to representing student voice and shaping the college, the CSA is an important part of college life.
