"Enhancing Nottingham's Local List" discusses ways to protect Nottingham's heritage
York PhD student Claire Price has written a short article in Historic England's RESEARCH magazine on protecting heritage in Nottingham. The article specifically discusses Old Basford, a suburb of Nottingham, and the listed buildings in the region. Her research involved setting up several activities for the public including a walking tour of Old Basford, an article in the local press, and a training event for voluntary researchers. Price recommends creating a local list to increase awareness amongst local people regarding heritage in the region, but also for future planning decisions by the council.
