Find out where you can park on arrivals day for Derwent College.
Parking information for Saturday 16 September
New undergraduate students living on campus will arrive into Derwent on Saturday 16 September. The locations referenced below can all be found on our arrivals map.
When you accept your accommodation offer, you will be asked to book a one-hour arrival slot on Saturday 16 September between 9am and 3pm. There are four car parks around Derwent and your choice of where to park will depend on what block you are moving into. If you're not sure which block you're in, please check your accommodation offer.
If you are in:
- Blocks A-J: please park in Science Car Park 1 (if this is full you can park in Science Park 2 or Science Park 3)
- Blocks K-P and Eden's Court: please park in Campus Central Car Park

Once you arrive you should head on foot to the arrivals check in and information point, which is located in a gazebo on the lawns outside the Derwent College offices. Here you will be met by volunteers and college staff who will take you into the arrivals hall to pick up your keys, student card and Freshers pack. Please don't forget to bring some photo ID!
Our volunteers will then help you to move into your flat. To assist with this process, there are unloading bays next to some blocks where you can park for a short period of time.
- Blocks B and C: unloading bay 1
- Blocks A and D: unloading bay 2
Eden’s Court has its own car park. For blocks M and K it is best to unload from Campus Central Car Park.

You will not be able to access University accommodation until the confirmed contract start date in your accommodation offer. Please ensure you plan to arrive on or after this date.
