Dan Jones

Coordinator - Language and Study Skills

Area(s) of Responsibility:

My main duty is coordination of the 20-week Pre-sessional Programme and the 10-week Postgraduate Management Pre-sessional Programme, which involves course planning, materials design, recruiting and inducting temporary staff and leading the teaching teams. I have also taught on the Foundation and Entry to Pre-masters programmes at the IPC.

Professional Interests:

I have a strong interest in materials development and course design. I am very keen on using technology in the classroom and paperless teaching.

Further Information:

I have an MA in Southeast Asian Studies and a strong interest in East Asian politics and development. Before coming to York, I spent two years working at an educational NGO in Jakarta, Indonesia.
