Research Forum

Research Forum is a meeting of all of the Chairs of Departmental Research Committees and occurs c. four times a year.

Meetings are timed to coincide with Central Research Committee so that feedback can occur between the two. While we hope that these meetings will have an informal atmosphere and minutes will not be taken, important information will be discussed and wherever possible it is ideal that someone from each department, if not the Chair of DRC, will attend.

Where possible, meetings are timed to align with meetings of the York Research Administrators' Forum, and key topics discussed at Research Forum will also be on the agenda of YRAF, where appropriate.

Venues

Meetings will be held around campus and suggestions for potential venues are welcomed.  Please email Tracy Dancer with invitations to use your department.

Topics

  • Would breakout groups to discuss topics with your peers be useful?
  • Would you prefer to meet in broad subject areas on occasion?
  • Is there something you need to know about that would be more appropriate for us to invite an external visitor?
  • Do you want to hear from other University service departments?
