Event details

LaTeX is a software system for document preparation. When writing, the writer uses plain text as opposed to the formatted text found in WYSIWYG word processors like Microsoft Word, LibreOffice Writer and Apple Pages. Join us at this workshop to learn how to utilise this software for your research publications. We will be working through a few examples together and so to get the most out of this workshop, you must bring your own laptop.

This workshop is for novice LaTex users. If you hope to have a try on your own device, it is recommended that you install some softwares beforehand.

For Windows system, please install MikTex (Software Centre), or Tex Live, both containing Texworks for editing your LaTex documents.

For MacOS system, please install MacTex, which comes with TexShop as the front-end editor. Alternatively, please register with Overleaf in advance.
