Communal areas
Our communal areas are open to Alcuin College members to hang out in and enjoy.
Relax in comfy seating, connect to the wifi and make use of the amenities listed below.
Alcuin Junior Common Room (JCR)
Located above the launderette at S block, Alcuin JCR is a space for our students to meet up, socialise, study and relax with other Alcuin college members. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The space contains a variety of seating, a kitchen area, pool table and large screen projector with surround audio - perfect for movie nights!
Alcuin Senior Common Room (SCR)
The SCR is a space for Alcuin postgraduates to study and hang out. The SCR is open until 5pm each day, after which you’ll need to book.
Located on the first floor of the reception building, inside you’ll find a sink, kettle and microwave, a large screen TV with surround audio and a variety of comfy seating. It makes for a great meeting space or somewhere to grab a cup of tea.
