Georgia Foy
Former MA Archaeology of Buildings student, Georgia Foy has just published her award-winning study of Tilbury Barracks (supervised by Dr Matt Jenkins) in the Society for Post-Medieval Archaeology's journal. Georgia's study explored how officers transformed a terrace of houses into a barracks complex, shedding new light on the architectural development and social and gendered use of space of this important military site on the edge of the Thames Estuary and setting an agenda for future study. Georgia is now working as a Heritage Consultant in Lichfields (London).
