Menopause guidance now available

Posted on 18 October 2019

New guidance is now available to support staff and line managers.

Women over the age of 50 are the fastest growing segment of the workforce, and most will go through the menopause transition during their working lives.

For every ten women experiencing menopausal symptoms, six say it has a negative impact on their work (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development).

With this in mind the University has developed some Menopause guidance. The aim of the guidance is to raise awareness of menopause-related issues at work and in particular assist managers in supporting staff who are experiencing menopause and associated symptoms. It will also enable staff to access the support they need.
