Research

The York Centre for Political Theory fosters individual and collaborative research projects in key areas of political theory.

Political theory is inherently interdisciplinary: part philosophy, part history, part social science, and part humanities. We identify, develop, and exploit synergies between the parts that make the singularity of political theory in developing projects with a strong interdisciplinary within three broad research themes: pasts and futures of civil society, the political theory of political economy, and frontiers of political theory.
