Roger Woolhouse Prize
Each year a prize of £500 is awarded to the student on one of the four taught Philosophy programmes (MA Philosophy, MA Analytic Philosophy, MA Political and Legal Philosophy, MA Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence) who submits the best essay in the January MA assessment period.
This prize is generously funded by the widow and family of Professor Roger Woolhouse, who taught at York from 1969 until his retirement.
Open to International (including EU) and UK (home) students.
Open to students in the Department of Philosophy.
All MA Philosophy students will be considered as part of their studies.
There is no separate application process to complete.
