Biomedical Sciences building

Project details

Construction gallery

The University's striking new science block was officially opened by Government Chief Scientific Advisor Sir Mark Walport on 9 December 2014.

It contains teaching and IT laboratories for the Biomedical Science degree, a joint programme of the Biology Department and the Hull York Medical School.

The building also houses facilities for students in the new School of Natural Sciences, who are due to start in October 2015.

Redevelopment of Biology

This is the first part of the phased redevelopment of Biology, which will see a new building to house teaching laboratories, enabling the original labs to be phased out and replaced by a new two-storey research building.
