York Actuarial Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to support academically talented students from lower-income households studying Actuarial Science at York.
York Accounting, Business Finance and Management Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to support academically talented students from lower-income households studying Accounting, Business Finance and Management at York.
Holbeck scholarships
These scholarships are open to pupils from schools and colleges in the Yorkshire and Humber region, who are applying to any UK university (not just York) for entry in September 2023.
York Bursary
Depending on your household residual income you could be eligible for our non-repayable York bursary.
Care Leavers and Estranged Students Bursary
This bursary is for students aged under 25, who come to York as care leavers or who are irreconcilably estranged from their parents.
York Refugee Bursary
The Refugee Bursary is a non-repayable award for students who come to York and have a Refugee immigration status.
Equal Access Scholarships for undergraduates
We're pleased to offer two Equal Access Scholarships for undergraduate students who are seeking refuge in the UK. Please note that you must have applied to the University of York before submitting an application for this scholarship.
Be Exceptional 60th Anniversary scholarships
To celebrate our 60th anniversary, we're offering tuition fee discounts to international students.
Postgraduate 60th Anniversary scholarship
We award many international scholarships per year, recognising achievement by applying a tuition fee discount.
York Graduate Loyalty Discount
If you've previously studied at the University of York, you could be eligible for a tuition fee discount for postgraduate taught courses.
GREAT Scholarships
We're offering eight scholarships for students from China, Ghana, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand and Turkey in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign.
Tom and Eileen House Scholarship
Thanks to the generous support of alumnus Richard House, we can help ensure that the opportunity to study for a Masters degree is open to all.
Maria Bourboulis Scholarship
The Maria Bourboulis scholarship fund is awarded in memory of York Alumna Maria Bourboulis – to continue to support Social Policy and Sociology students.
Commonwealth Scholarships
The University of York is a host university for the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission. Various opportunities are available throughout the year. The majority of awards are funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
Snowdon Masters Scholarship
The Snowdon Trust Masters Scholarship has been designed to identify and accelerate exceptional disabled students through higher education, creating the influencers of the future.
Equal Access Scholarships for postgraduates
We're pleased to offer one Equal Access Scholarship for a taught postgraduate student seeking refuge in the UK. Please note that you must have applied to the University of York before submitting an application for this scholarship.
Aziz Foundation scholarships
We are delighted to be partnering with the Aziz Foundation to offer postgraduate scholarships to support British Muslims study at York.
Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust postgraduate bursaries
The Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust offer bursaries to people in financial need and who have a parent or spouse or are employed themselves as a commercial traveller, pharmacist or grocer.
York Graduate Research School (YGRS) PhD Scholarships
We're pleased to offer up to six fully-funded PhD scholarships for UK candidates who self-identify as being from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) background.
Fee waiver funding for Joint Doctoral Programme, CITY College, University of York Europe Campus
The University of York and the South-East European Research Centre (SEERC) offer the opportunity for qualified candidates to read for a PhD Degree that combines high-quality UK studies and a unique research infrastructure in South-East Europe.
University of York, School for Business and Society, Management PhD Scholarships
Finance your research into business and management with a fee waiver and generous stipend.

York Minster Choral Scholarships
York Minster offers choral scholarships lasting 12 months or longer to altos, tenors and basses who are undergraduate or postgraduate students.
Yorkshire Bach Choir
These awards pay for vocal lessons for any students contributing to ensembles and singing in the Yorkshire Bach Choir. It could also be to increase the lesson allowance of Music students, particularly those who are part-time and specialising in performance.
St Wilfrid's Church Scholarship
St Wilfrid's Catholic Church offers choral scholarships lasting 12 months for sopranos, altos, tenors and basses to form a quartet.
York Minster Choral Scholarships
York Minster offers choral and organ scholarships lasting 12 months or longer to altos, tenors and basses.
