Tell us a bit about your background
I am from Northern Ireland, I am a mature student that is currently working part-time in retail while continuing my full-time study. I have dyslexia and have been a part of learning support groups for large parts of my academic career.
Why did you want to get involved with the Student Expert Panel?
I am deeply invested in how policy decisions get made, and with my experience as a mature student with learning difficulties, I wanted to represent those with similar conditions and ensure that the difficulties we face can be mitigated as much as possible.
What are you involved with at York, and what are you interested in outside of your studies?
I am a massive D&D/TTRPG nerd. I enjoy running and have recently got into parkour. I love reading books about various policy proposals.
