Tell us a bit about your background

I am a second year student, passionate about representing first generation university students. I understand the difficulty of going against family norms to attend university and how difficult that can be. I am also concerned about the cost of living crisis and aim to ensure university is financially inclusive.

Why did you want to get involved with the Student Expert Panel?

I got involved with the Student Expert Panels to create positive changes across the university. The best part about working for the Student Expert Panel is being listened to by different departments looking to implement change. I enjoy working with a group of people looking to create opportunities for everyone.

What are you involved with at York, and what are you interested in outside of your studies? 

I am passionate about sustainability, particularly sustainable fashion. I am the Head of Social Media for Swap Don't Shop and enjoy promoting swap events as well as socials. This year, I would like to join the rounders team too!
