Paul Ryan

Paul Ryan is a Senior Lecturer in Screen Production and Postproduction with the University of York’s School of Arts and Creative Technologies. After completing a BSc in Media Technology, he went on to work in live broadcasting, working professionally in a variety of roles. In 2014 he completed an MSc in Postproduction specialising in visual effects, with a dissertation examining workflows for combining live action and CGI in virtual reality film. He has worked at York since 2008 and has advised and consulted on workflows for feature film and television projects for the BBC, Channel 5, Al Jazeera and Goldfinch Studios. He is currently researching virtual production, virtual reality and new forms of immersive media.
