She has worked in genres including current affairs, factual entertainment, archive shows, true crime, specialist factual, observational and sport, for channels such as BBC1, BBC2, Channel 5 and A+E as well as BBC Radio 4. Her work has often included complex, investigative content, including undercover recording and legally and editorially sensitive projects. We'll learn about Nicola's own route into the industry and career path to date. We'll look at the challenges of working in Live TV and how it differs from making pre-recorded content, we'll also hear from Nicola about how the world of factual TV is changing, and Nicola will give her top tips for any student considering factual TV as a career. There'll be plenty of time in the session for you to ask your own questions, so please do have them ready. The workshop will take place in the Holbeck Cinema (Campus East), 3pm - 5pm on the 1st of May 2024.
