Helen Petrie receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Helen Petrie, Professor of Human Computer Interaction in the Department of Computer Science, has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Royal National Institute for Blind People (RNIB).

Helen’s research on technology for blind people, particularly on access to computers and the web, was recognised at the RNIB’s Vision Pioneer Awards ceremony. The Lifetime Achievement Award is given to an exceptional individual who has dedicated their career to improving the lives of blind and partially sighted children, young people and/or adults.
